Alba Energy is a grouping of small private hydro producers in Scotland, set up in 1998 with a number of objectives, but with the key ethos of sharing information relating specifically to small scale hydro schemes, which was not available elsewhere.

Meet the Board
The Board is in regular contact with members, and hosts two meetings each year – an Annual General Meeting and a site visit to a place or installation of general interest to our members. By working together as a cooperative grouping we bring to the table our cumulative power to influence maintenance contracts, the distribution authorities, insurance companies and ratings authorities.
